How Does One Rebrand and Start Fresh?

Well... for me? I started by writing down what felt hard.

As a wedding planner, one of the big ones I circled over and over was being away from my kids. Not just physically being gone for long weekends, but the mental load of always being “on.” If you know me, you know I’m an introvert, a people pleaser, and a Type A to the core. So leading a group of strangers through a wedding rehearsal on a Friday night when all they really wanna do is hug their cousins and sip a drink? Yeah... not really my jam.

It worked for a long time because I love supporting people. That’s just how I’m wired. But now that I’m a wife and a mom, I don’t have the extra energy to give to things I’m not in love with anymore. So I asked myself:
What am I still in love with?

I realized it’s the parts where people say,
“Wow, you’re so organized - thank you for making this easy,”
or “You’re so patient - thank you for being so kind.”
And my personal favorite: “I couldn’t have done this without you.”

That’s when it clicked. What am I doing that gets that reaction?
I’m glued to my computer building systems, solving problems, streamlining the messy stuff. THAT is what lights me up. Give me color-coding, inbox sorting, and workflow mapping and I’m a happy girl.

The next step? Figuring out how to turn that strength into something that still lives in the wedding world - because I just can’t leave this industry. It’s full of passionate, slightly crazy, beautifully driven people who get it. We don’t even need to know each other to know each other, you know?

We’re all here because we’re really good at something.
But being good at your craft doesn’t mean you automatically know how to run a business. I didn’t. Still figuring it out honestly. And if you’ve ever jumped in with a HoneyBook trial and a prayer - same. You don’t want to work for someone else, but running the whole dang show? It’s a lot. (Like... suddenly the 9–5 doesn’t sound so bad? Kidding... kind of.)

So this new chapter?
Lady in Love Studios is for you.

The photographer editing at midnight.
The planner juggling timelines and toddler snacks.
The florist who forgot to post on Instagram this week (again).
The mama who wants to grow her biz and keep her sanity.

I want you to fall back in love with your business.
To breathe a little easier.
To feel proud - not just of what you do, but how you run it.

So let’s lighten the load. Let’s bring the beauty from within.
Because we both know… when you feel good, you look good.

It’s business - but let’s make it sexy.

xoxo,
Whitney
